Final Essay

I believe I have to power to help change young girls lives.

In my past experience I have learned that when I open up to people and share my past they open up to me and share theirs. I have overcome so much and I am only nineteen years old. I do not know how I tend to read people’s expressions without there not being one on their face, but I like to call it my little gift. I have come across many people that have had the same hurtful or bothered looks of expressions on their face as I did. Whether it is has been a relative, friend, or unknown person I have always been the type to reach out to others when they seem to be troubled. Sometimes people cry for help without even making it noticeable. I was that girl before and I know exactly how it feels to go through a series of unfortunate events. I have helped many of my friends and even their friends to get through hard times. People tend to open up to me because I keep it real and I do not sugar coat anything. I think what attracts people to me is the fact that I am very open about things I have gone through. I enjoy listening to people and watching them smile after getting out all that they have inside of their hearts.

Currently, I am enrolled in school to become an Accountant. I am still going to continue with that but I feel since I have such concerns about others and their well-beings I should become an counselor. After all, that is why they have double-majors. I think that I would be able to connect with young girls and help them conquer anything, such as fears they may face, challenges that come their way, and goals they may want to achieve. I want to be the big sister I wish I had when I was younger to girls. All the women in this generation are in competition. I think this is absurd. I believe that as young women, we all should stand as a backbone for each other. At least that is what I would like to do. I know that as young women we go through a lot. We have to decide on a lot. I believe that I have the capability to be a great role model for young women.
