True harmony is right outside your door! (Final Exam)

There is nothing in this world so beautiful, that it is often imitated in painting, poetry, and song as nature.  Nature has given the eyes and ears so much joy and beauty one just need think of their favorite locale and a smile can be seen ripening their face.

Nature can be the sole purpose for our existence, a sort of church if you will.  If you commune to the harmony of nature, you will see many correlations with nature and the human psyche.  A lion killing his prey in the natural world is not murder, but there is an animal instinct in all of us.

As we constantly try to believe we are not living in nature, we destroy it.  We put up parking lots and skyscrapers to tell us that we are tougher than nature, that we have evolved and no longer need the rocks and the trees.  This falsehood has made our lives dreary.  The perpetual wait we agonize with day in and day out, hoping to be broken free of can be changed with a bit of nature.  We can never escape the grips of nature, at least not on this planet, because we were born of it, and because it is as old and as wise as earth itself.

Fresh air, given to us by the trees, gives us life in which we fill our lungs with.   The birds and insects sing songs all day and night.  Seeing how all the creatures of the world interact with each other and help each other, we see how all the creatures of the world play a role which has a greater good than just one being ever could hope to.  If we as great masters of this world would stop to listen, and pay respect to the natural world around us, we may not have so many problems, but instead may be satisfied living beautiful lives.

Project 5 Story of Service

I learned to play chess as a youngster.  My godfather lived less than a block away, and my godfather was smitten by anything chess related.  It was summer, I think my godfather was bored, or possibly didn’t have anyone to play chess with.  In any case, what I do remember is walking over to his

Project 4 Critical Reflection of Service

I am an average chess player, good enough to win against most of my friends.  I am no grandmaster that is for sure.  I do know what goes on in the mind of these players though. It takes some serious thinking, knowing what your opponent might do, even thinking 10 to 20 moves ahead.  I

Project 3 Letter to the editor

Dear Editor,   I would like to bring to your attention an ongoing concern in the wonderful city of chicago.  As the numbers in our city grow, so do the amount of drivers.  Rush hour traffic is no joke in this city.  With gas prices rising overnight and the cost of living in the city.

Project 2 Dynamic Family

Dynamic Family The world is in a crisis of failing today’s youth with the dissolution of the nuclear family.  You know the nuclear family 2 adults 2.5 kids and probably a dog or cat.  Nearly forty percent of today’s youth are growing up with 1 adult instead of 2.  I will show you some statistics,

Project 1 Live? Die? Kill?

Staring at these three questions and listening to the excerpt by Karen, I realize these questions are too vague and insignificant.  First of all, What do you live for?  This question does not even make sense, I could answer the question why do I live, but not what do I live for.  This is broken
