About chapter 3: I loved how Thomas started this chapter. When i got into reading it i had to stop several times because my brain kept throwing memories out about what i am truly passionate about. And it was really cool to see that he attacked his project with a chip on his shoulder that was put there by the classmate who trampled on his opinion. Again, I went back to instances in my life that were brought on by someone making me angry or telling me why “Things are how they are” and that is just the way it is.
A couple of my life accomplishments wouldn’t of been as sweet as they were if i hadn’t had a naysayer telling me it couldn’t be done, Or if it could be done, but not by the way i was doing it . Now i can take criticism as long as its done in a helpful manner, and understand people might be doing it to teach the right way to do something, but not everyone has that best interest in mind.
I also loved the fact that he was racking his brain to find something to write about. And out of nowhere here comes his topic. It goes to show that you have to keep your ears open and assert yourself whenever appropriate. This in itself can birth great ideas!
