A Reminder and Our First Service Opportunity
Hi, everyone. I trust you are all getting well oriented to the course. I just wanted to remind you of our first major due date which is quickly approaching. From reading through the Lesson 1 material and the course schedule, you should know that a “ready for review” draft of Paper/Project 1: Live? Die? Kill? is due by Monday at 8am. Don’t forget to post your draft, categorized as “ready for review” to your course blog by that time. It needs to be no less than 1250 words but perhaps should be a little longer. This is our first contract item, so get off to a good start with this. If you are not sure how to post this your major writing to your course blog review the orientation material in Lesson 0. That should help.
Also, I have posted information about our first action/service learning opportunity that I have arranged for us this semester. I understand not everyone will be able to attend this event, but if you can, please do. It’s sure to be an excellent experience. If you can’t make this outing, I will be arranging others, or you can find/create a service learning opportunity of your own. We all need to have completed at least one such outing by the end of week 8 this semester, as you will be writing about it.
